This leaf has so many benefits! Known as Tejpatta in Ayurveda, Bay Leaf and its oils have drying and warming energies and are characterized with a fresh, long-lasting, sweet-balsamic and spicy aroma.
Bay leaf extracts can be used as an astringent and made into salves for treating open wounds. In massage therapy, it is said to alleviate arthritis and rheumatism. In aromatherapy, it is used to treat ear aches and high blood pressure. Can be used in sprays for keeping away insects.

Dried Bay Leaves can also be used as a floor sweep by sprinkling them onto the floor and then sweeping them out the front door.
